Last week, the night of the full moon, my friends from Travel Bloggers Greece and myself were invited for cocktails and dinner in one of Athens best terraces Point A restaurant and bar.
Point A is located on the top of Herodion Hotel and enjoys a breathtaking view of the Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum.
We started our dinner with a cocktail inspired by the Greek Olympian Gods. I had the Act Two: Comedy Cocktail with Bacardi and hints of Coconut and Passion Fruit. Just amazing.
We started our dinner with loukoumades stuffed with manouri cheese and topped with honey. So delicious. We had Gemista which are tomatoes stuffed with vegetables and feta cream, Moussaka with mint yoghurt sauce and Imam Bayildi which is eggplants stuffed with onion, garlic and tomatoes. All the starters were inspired by traditional Greek dishes.

We tried two salads the Famous Greek Salad and the Myconian salad with avocado and kopanisti cheese from Mykonos. They were both very refreshing.

All the main dishes looked so good that it was hard to decide what to order so we ended up sharing. We had the Ravioli with octopus ragu, the Fisherman’s Pasta and the King Fish. All the dishes were delicious and were cooked to perfection. Although I am not a fan of seafood and fish, I particularly enjoyed these dishes.

Unfortunately when you are with good company and enjoy yourself so much time flies. I had to run to catch the last metro home, so I didn’t have the chance to try the dessert menu.
I had a fantastic night at the rooftop terrace of Point A. The atmosphere with the full moon over the Acropolis museum from one side, and the lit Acropolis on the other was very romantic. The food was delicious with fresh, in-season ingredients. The food presentation in each case was a work of art, and the cocktails were amazing.

If you are looking for a special place for dinner and cocktails with the best views of the Acropolis, Point A restaurant and bar is the place to go.
I was a guest of Point A restaurant but as always opinions are my own.
